Sensing satellite successfully into orbit

Carrier rocket "Soyuz-2", launched from the Baikonur Cosmodrome, successfully launched into the target orbit latest Russian spacecraft remote sensing (RS) "Resource-P", said the head of the press service of the Russian Federal Space Agency (Roskosmos) Alexei Kuznetsov.

"Resource-P" separated from the third stage rocket "Soyuz-2" at 23:38 (22:28 on Kiev), "- he said to Interfax. New satellite has a set of scanners, as well as three survey system that would generate information about the Earth in the full colour spectrum and infrared.

In addition, the period of active work of this unit has been increased from three to five years.
